Is your chair old and is constantly creaking? Is it uncomfortable and gaslift doesn’t hold your chair at the desired height? No this isn’t a commercial for knives and INOX dishes. We are talking here about changing your gaming or office chair into something more realiable and stable. Most of us tend to get uncomfortable after hours and hours of gaming or working on your computer, but we all know that there comes a time where we have to take into consideration that even chairs have to be calculated into computer costs. What is the solution? AKRacing Gaming chairs are one of the best in the department. And if that isn’t enough for you, you have loads of series of chairs to choose from. Today we are going to talk about a specific model, the cheapest model of all the series. But to put those cards immediately on the table, that doesn’t mean the worst. The AKRacing K7012 Gaming chair series is completely made out of fabric. Why did I go with fabric instead of PU leather? Not all of us are comfortable sitting approximately 8 hours on leather making it in winter cold and in summer hot. This was why I went with normal fabric and to be honest, the best choice I have made in buying a chair. Enough with the all scatered around information. Let us start from the begining and by that, I mean how to assemble it and how long does it take you to finally sit on it for the first time.
Is it hard to assemble it? You decide…
The full weight of the box with the chair is roughly 25kg and is pretty big. Opening the package you can clearly see why. Starting from the bottom, first you will need to connect the wheels to the strong 5-star base. No screwdrivers needed, just press and click action. Next up is placing the gaslift in the 5-star base the same way as the wheels. The Class-4 gaslift can support up to 150kg or 330lbs. To place the bottom part of the chair and connect it to the gaslift you will have to remove 4 screws. After placing that you can easily just press and click it to the base and that is it for the bottom part. Altogether you have unscrewed four screws and haven’t break a sweat. Handles are already placed on the bottom part where you sit, so the only thing left is the back part and the side plastics which are fairly easy to do. You might need someone to help you hold the back part, but if you are carefull you could do it by yourself. Now sit down and enjoy.

Starting with the weight, which I already mentioned, it goes by 25kg and why is that? The full frame construction of the chair is out of metal which gives you stability and reliability. You can see from the left picture above what you could do with it, so it kind of makes sense why is it so heavy. One more thing that keeps your chair stable is the 5-star base for the whole chair which is also made out of metal. No more breaking those plastic legs after few years of usage. You will have to cut this one with a saw to break it. But stability and reliability isn’t the only thing that matters while sitting for hours. You need comfort as well. This is where the foam comes in. The cold molding foam stays in shape, which means it holds its density all the time. No more sitting on plastic or metal after a year or so. And not only that, it is very comfortable. It is good to mention that the reason why the foam doesn’t subdue after long hours of working or gaming is because of the foam density which is 49 kg/m³ for the seat and 50 kg/m³ the backrest. Even if you are not impressed with that, you get two pads. One for your back and one for your neck to keep you straight and in the natural position giving you even more comfort through hours and hours of working in the office or gaming. All of this and I haven’t even touched the best thing of this chair. The adjustement. Up, down, backward, forward… Everything is possible with this chair. The adjustable backrest is trully adjustable just because it can be adjusted from 90-180 degrees. Watch your movies, TV series or play games and work. No problem. What ever position you wish, it can be managed with a easy reachable handle that is on the right side. Just beneath it you have another handle which gives you ability to adjust your chair up or down and after the lock it into that position. Very handy, reachable and easy to use. Can I say again? Wait! There is more. The hand resters are also adjustable by height which are also accesible. Is there anything bad about this chair? Depends. It is a wider chair, but still check measures so you don’t get surprised that the chair is too big or too small for you. The measures go like this:
- A: 565mm
- B: 550mm
- C: 365mm
- D: 950mm
- E: 560mm
- F: Approximately 510-430mm
- G: 340-270mm
I honestly doubt that anyone will have a problem with the size and everything else considering that. Now this typical model, the AKRacing K7012 Gaming chair has cover material made out of fabric. Which is not cleaning friendly, but if you are careful enough to take the zips off and remove the fabric, clean it and return it… Well, I have to say that you are doing it at your own risk. Simple solution, don’t eat and drink above the chair.
Details on the chair are carefully done and even though I got the black one to match my setup, the design is flawless. Sitting on it for the first time gives you the feeling like sitting in a race car. And as I said in the video review I did, imagine sitting in this racing chair and having a steering wheel with force feedback. The best thing about all of it, you could drive for hours and hours, because I mentioned it before, the chair is comfortable above everything.
Black color is to regular or it just doesn’t suit your setup and color scheme. No problem. the AKRacing K7012 Racing chair comes in four varieties of colors which is the one I am talking about, and three others. Red, blue and green.

In the final conclusion, the chair is €269.00 but with the comfortability, stability and diversity of it you will definitely not regret it. This is somewhat an investment for a very long time. Full comfort throughout the whole period of gaming or doing your office stuff. The wheels are silent, but it all depends on the floor actually because the turning of wheels is barelly heard.
